The resort was created back in the early 1960`s by a family that moved down here from Massachussets. The name Sheldegren comes from the farm that the family owned which bordered three cities - Shelbourne, Deerfield and Greenfield. We purchased the resort in 2003 and proceeded to renovate every section.

The owners both grew up with all kinds of animals. They raised & bred German Shepherds and had a mini farm with horses, chickens, cats, dogs, and many others. Both have a great love of all animals.
